MotoGP: Casey Stoner to test 2015 Honda, Michelins
Double world champion Casey Stoner will be back on-board a
MotoGP machine during a private Honda test later this month.
The Australian retired at the end of 2012, at the age of just 27, but completed a series of tests for HRC last year.
Honda has confirmed to Crash.net that Stoner “will test our 2015 machine in Motegi after the Malaysian GP on 29th and 30th October, one day with Michelin and one day with Bridgestone.”
Michelin is taking over from Bridgestone as MotoGP's exclusive tyre supplier from 2016.
Preparations for adjusting to the French rubber are just starting, with the present MotoGP grid due to get their first ride on the next generation Michelins at Sepang in February.
Stoner is present as a guest at this weekend's Australian Grand Prix at Phillip island.
